Experience, Independence, and Practical Insight

After 25 years in yachting as a yacht captain, Superyacht Fleet Operations Manager, and surveyor, Đani Zaninović founded his own independent superyacht survey company.

During his career:

  • From 2000, he guided teams delivering eight brand-new yachts

  • He sailed in Captain role on private and charter yachts, gaining hands-on experience in owner expectations, crew management, yacht construction, materials, and technical systems

  • In 2017, promoted to Fleet Operations Manager, he managed seven dual-season vessels with over 60 crew internationally and participated in the design and delivery of new projects up to 55 m

  • While serving as Fleet Operations Manager, he simultaneously worked as a surveyor, overseeing and delivering new build projects from start to delivery.

Following his operational career, Đani graduated from the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy with a Diploma in Marine Surveying, specializing in superyachts.

Today, he leads surveys on new builds, coatings, refits, and pre-owned yachts, combining practical experience, technical knowledge, and attention to detail to bring projects from the drawing desk to reality.
